Worship is at the heart of who we are as a Catholic school, and prayer is a focus of every day. Pupils begin each morning with a prayer and are given the opportunity to use the sacred space within each form room for personal prayers and reflection. Pupils pray during RE lessons and also take part in chapel assemblies and have opportunities to attend prayer services throughout the liturgical year.
Prayer is “raising of one’s heart and mind to God” (Catechism of the Catholic Church 2259) enables catholics to deepen their relationship with God as he helps to protect and guide us on our faith journey.
Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
School Prayer & Mission Statement
The Lord God requires of us that we should help others whenever we can. Always make the right choices and be the best that we can be, In everything that we do.
Amen
Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be
thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done,
on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we
forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us
not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.
